Event and Wedding Ideas

The following pictures are my favourite suggestions i've found for weddings or events while scouring the net.
Please contact me for any information for suppliers or steps for how to create.
As with all my blog posts, this is a digital inspiration wall for those of you who like to see new and innovative ideas.
Every post may have a different theme but will always be filled with delightful suggestions or gifts for those special moments in life.

Something Blue: stitching under the wedding dress, the groom and brides names would also be a nice idea.
I've always loved the creative entrance signage to the wedding or reception area.

Vintage brooch bouquets are the new trend this season.

These look so gorgeous on any table not just for events. Very easy to make with a favourite china set.

Such an easy project yet so effective with old jam or sauce jars, also love these hanging from tree branches see below for example.

These mason jars are just half filled with sand and have tea lights inside.

I thought this birdcage was a cute idea for guests to put wedding cards or birthday cards at an event.

Candy station would be lovely for a wedding or baby shower.

I thought this was a sensational idea for guests on a hot sunny day.
Dont get blinded by our love (very cute).

These small gift boxes for your bridesmaids seem so sweet, filled with invite, itinerarys for showers etc and to do list for assistance to bride.

This is a gift idea for the bridesmaids from the bride.
Little coin purses for them to use on the say with a message from the bride stitched inside.

Why not try serving cupcakes for a large event rather than the usual tiered cake.

Another fun idea for a reception. Dancing sandals for those tired feet.

This was a couples idea instead of a guest book they had patches of fabric for guests to write on and then used them to make a quilt.

A bride in the US got creative with her shoe soles and used an artists marker pen for the calligraphy work.

I thought the use of lettering boards was nice here, another idea could be the initials of the bride and groom.

A growing trend is thankyou notes on the tables for guests.
see below another example.

This was a cute photo idea for beach weddings using the rings.

More signage suggestions for the entrance to the wedding or reception party.

This couple got a dictionary and guests were encouraged to circle words that described the wedding day for them or write a note in the pages.

A lovely use of flowers and candles for a table setting. Silk Faux flowers look nice in these also. These are actually large wine glasses turned upside down.

This couple had a typewriter for guests to leave notes to the couple and had guests release heart shaped balloons. Both ideas I loved.

Monogramed cookies for weddings or birthdays are a lovely gift for guests.

Another idea for gifts or cards at an event is an old suitcase or trunk.

I loved this photo idea for a save the date card.

Instead of table numbers why not try years and photos for both the bride and groom from that year.

Photo suggestion for thankyou cards.

This couple had all guests do thumb prints for a wedding guest tree.

Another take on the thumb print idea.

As seen in Winners and Losers, vintage umbrellas with fairy lights for a creative ceiling display.

Im loving the sparkler walkthrough at weddings right now.

This was for a backdrop to a wedding ceremony, I like this idea of as time goes by but ive also seen it done with bride and groom relative wedding photos in vintage frames hung on the wall.

Table decoration for dinner parties with old wine bottles reused.

This is a many wishes tree instead of a guest book guests write their wishes for the new couple and tie to the tree.
For family members who have passed there photos are on the memory tree.

This couple made sure to include family wedding portraits when decorating there reception for a personal touch.

These are flowers frozen ice cubes and can brighten up any summer event.

I thought these his and her cutlery were a nice idea and keep sake after.

Lovers of music could create a mix disc of the tunes played at their wedding and give as gifts at the reception.
